Venice is a one of the most romantic city in the world and it is a unique city which is situated in the center of the city. Many cities in the world are called as the “Venice of the North” but none of all these cities can be compared with this pearl of Italy that is why most tourist want to spend their vacations in Venetië hotels. I have lots of interest to collect information on different cities Bridges, for this purpose last month i went to enjoy week-end Venise because Venice is a city where i got relevant information on Bridges. I choose Venice because this picturesque city is built on 117 small islands and holds one hundred and fifty canals linked by an amazing four hundred and nine bridges, of which only three cross the main canal.
To visit famous bridges in Venice i booked Hotel Ala which is a three star hotel in Venice. It is situated very close to the St. Mark’s Squre, Grand Canal, St. Maria’s Church and Accademia’s Bridge. It is a completely renovated hotel which provides 85 well decorated rooms with all modern facilities. Overall i can say that it is a pleasant hotel and charming hotel who provides special atmosphere to it’s guests who vacationing in hotels in Venice.

After eating breakfast in my hôtel Venise, i start my trip from Rialto Bridge which is the oldest and most famous bridge across the Grand canal. In 1181 by it was first built by the Nicolo Barattiere and called as “Ponte della Moneta”, it was rebuilt in 1250 and since then it was named “Ponte di Rialto” and in 1444 the bridge was collapsed and the present bridge was built by the Antonio da Ponte. It is 7.5 – meter (24 foot) high and this massive structure was built on some 12000 wooden pilings that still support the bridge more than 400 years later.
After that i went to visit the Accademia Bridge which is also one of the famous bridges in Venice that cross the Grand Canal. It was built in 1932 and reconstructed in 1986 to the exact replica of the original bridge. It connects the sestiere or quarter of San Marco with Dorsoduro. It is an elegant wooden bridge over the Grand Canal with lovely views. The Accademia Bridge is situated at one point of the triangle made by the principal routes through the San Marco district, and is around ten minutes walk from the Rialto and St. Mark’s.

In the end i visited the “Bridge of Sighs” which is another beautiful and famous bridge in Venice. This spectacular bridge was designed by the Antoni Contino (nephew of Antonio da Ponte) in 1602. This is a legendary and wonderful bridge in Venice and you must visit it while vacationing in Venedig Hotel. This is a beautiful bridge which stretching high above the canal and also known as one of the finest examples of bridge architecture in the world. The enclosed bridge is made of white limestone and has windows with stone bars. It passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the old prisons to the interrogation rooms in the Doge’s Palace. It’s name given by Lord Byron in the 19th century and it took about 200 years to complete with construction starting in 1600. After visiting famous bridges in Venice, i also enjoyed popular sigths in venice and Venice attractions. Now i am also interested to visit and spend vacations in Rotterdam hotels, Ghent hotels and Visiting hotels in Brussels because i have heard a lot about them.
